Cuba: A Different Kind of Place
Cuba is labelled a state sponsor of terrorism by the United States – a threat. Yet it is the U.S. that attacks other sovereign countries.
I went there in 2016. Although it’s a poor country, I didn’t see a single homeless person or beggar.
I marched in a community rally in Vinales for May Day. No police, no guns. No one was arrested, or killed.
Cuba embraces music and culture as part of everyday life.
In this place, education is completely free, from preschool to university. Healthcare too is free, with the highest doctor-to-population ratio in the world.
People work together, rather than compete with each other.
